This conference will celebrate and recognize two decades of pediatric obesity care at Children's National in the IDEAL Clinic. We will acknowledge the founder of IDEAL, Dr.Nazrat Mirza. It will also serve as an educational opportunity for primary care providers and subspecialists, covering the following: Updated approaches to pediatric obesity management, including pharmacotherapy and surgical options. Expert speakers addressing obesity-related medical complications and the management of these conditions.

Learning Objectives
- Assess children and adolescents for obesity and obesity related complications.
- Apply understanding of obesity bias and stigma to improve care in practice
- Recognize and manage common obesity-related comorbidities in the pediatric population, including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and psychosocial conditions.
- Identify appropriate candidates for pharmacotherapy and bariatric surgery and develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients with obesity.
