Gladys Zimmerman, M.D.

Sloane Zimmerman, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Children’s National Hospital and faculty member at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Zimmerman earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She then went on to complete her residency training in Memphis, TN, at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital followed by a clinical fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition from Texas Children's Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine.
During her time in Texas, she also completed a concurrent post-doctoral research fellowship focusing on improving access to healthy foods and nutrition education for low-income and minority families. In addition to her clinical work, she has a strong interest in advocacy efforts for promotion of children's health and wellbeing.
