36th Annual Pediatric Neurology Update
The 36TH Annual Pediatric Neurology Update, co-sponsored by the Divisions of Neurology, Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics and Neurogenetics and Neurosurgery at Children’s National Hospital, Washington, D.C., (ranked 4th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report) will take place on April 16, 2026. The focus will be on innovations in disorders of intracranial pressure and head pain.

The Update will feature speakers from Children’s National and other internationally renowned experts and will be held at the Children’s National Research & Innovation Campus. The Update will highlight 4 major areas:
- Primary and Secondary Disorders of Intracranial Pressure
- Advances in Intracranial Pressure Monitoring
- Neurodevelopmental, Psychiatric and Rehabilitation Needs of Patients Recovering from Disorders of Intracranial Pressure
- Hydrocephalus and Current Approaches

- Analyze and compare invasive and non‑invasive intracranial pressure assessment methods in pediatric patients. Analyze and compare invasive and non‑invasive intracranial pressure assessment methods in pediatric patients.
- Apply evidence‑based diagnostic and management strategies for pediatric intracranial hypertension and hydrocephalus across the age spectrum.
- Assess and integrate multisystem manifestations of intracranial pressure disorders into comprehensive, multidisciplinary care with rehabilitative support.
- Evaluate long‑term outcomes and treatment‑related risks of medical and surgical therapies for hydrocephalus and intracranial pressure disorders.
