I am a pediatric neurosurgeon and a PhD clinical epidemiologist. I have had a long-standing interest in the treatment of hydrocephalus and spina bifida and have published extensively in this field, including several landmark publications on endoscopic treatment of hydrocephalus and long-term outcome in pediatric hydrocephalus. These have appeared in high-impact journals, including N Engl J Med and The Lancet.

I also have strong interests in post-graduate training, having served a 10-year term as residency program director for Neurosurgery, and physician wellness, having served as Neurosurgery Vice-Chair for Culture & Inclusion. I am currently the Surgeon-in-Chief at Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Toronto, Canada.
