2024 Children's National Pediatric Acute Care Point-of-Care Ultrasound Workshop
This is an introductory point of care ultrasound (POCUS) course for the novice learner in acute care applications within pediatrics and neonatology. Participants will learn the basics of POCUS applications used in the evaluation and treatment of sick infants and children through didactic presentations and hands-on scanning experience.

Learning Objectives
- Identify the indications for POCUS in the care of ill or injured infants and children.
- Demonstrate image acquisition for FAST, basic cardiac, lung, and procedural POCUS.
- Differentiate normal and abnormal POCUS findings.
- Integrate POCUS findings into the management of ill or injured infants and children.
