keith boniface, MD, FPD-AEUS
Dr. Keith Boniface is Professor of Emergency Medicine and Chief of Emergency Ultrasound at The George Washington University. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina before graduating from New York Medical College. He subsequently did his internship in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and completed his residency and chief residency in Emergency Medicine at Boston Medical Center. He came to George Washington in 2001 and started the point-of-care ultrasound program at GW. He has trained over 200 GW residents in the use of point-of-care ultrasound for over the past 22 years. He launched the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship in 2007 and has trained more than 30 fellows since that time. He has lectured on ultrasound topics at a wide range of national academic meetings for emergency medicine, internal medicine, and critical care, and has taught point-of-care ultrasound around the globe. He also served as Associate Residency Director for 10 years, and continues to focus on medical student, resident, and fellow education.
