Sonali Basu, MD
Sonali Basu, M.D., has been an attending physician in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children's National Hospital since 2010. She currently serves as the associate chief of Critical Care Medicine, associate division chief for Education, as well as the associate director of the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program. Her current research interests include integration of point of care ultrasound into clinical practice as well as point of care ultrasound education program development. She is nationally recognized in the field of critical care ultrasound and has been invited faculty at numerous regional and national ultrasound courses.
Dr. Basu is board-certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Pediatrics. She completed her medical degree at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, followed by a Pediatrics residency at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC, and a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at Children’s National Hospital.
