Philip Sosa, DO
After graduating from NOVA Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, I attended Pediatrics Residency at University of South Florida. I then completed Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) fellowship at University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. Following fellowship, I worked as a PEM attending for four years in New York City. Two of those years were at Children's Hospital at Montefiore and the last two were at Mt Sinai Health System. During my time in New York, I developed a passion for Point of Care of Ultrasound (POCUS) and ultimately led to my coming to Children's National Hospital for PEM POCUS fellowship. Heavily integrated with that "passion for POCUS" are my primary interests, which include medical education, trauma, nerve blocks, and research.
