DOTM Leadership Training Series 2025
Overview
The goal of this training series is for Department of Transport Medicine staff members to create and maintain a safe, tolerant, and calming work environment. They will develop skills to manage personal conflict as well as facilitate third-party conflict and hold staff accountable by using the tools found in this course. They will further develop their leadership skills to be used when resolving conflict within a team dynamic while acting as a shift leader. Nurses new to the transport environment will learn skills to improve their communication and leadership abilities in order to act as the team leader when in the transport environment working with a bedside transport team. Team members will learn to analyze learning styles and work with the to teach and give feedback in the role of preceptor.
This series includes the following four courses available to staff in the Department of Transport Medicine:

2. Leadership in Nursing (RN Team Lead)
3. Shift Leader
4. Preceptor Workshop
