Lecture Description:
This interdisciplinary presentation explores the complex intersection of intimate partner violence (IPV) and child maltreatment. Through case studies, research findings and clinical insights, the lecture highlights how IPV affects children from infancy through adolescence, and how intergenerational trauma manifests in healthcare settings. The presenters will discuss trauma-informed approaches, mandated reporting considerations, and the importance of supporting both child and adult survivors.

- Explain how families with intergenerational trauma may show up in the healthcare setting.
- Be more prepared to deliver trauma-informed and/or trauma-responsive care.
