This educational session is designed to equip radiology staff with the knowledge and skills needed to identify the early signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction to radiology contrast and recognize when it is progressing toward an anaphylactic response. Participants will learn how to assess and manage these situations effectively, including administering the correct medication doses, seeking additional support when needed, and locating emergency supplies.

This is Children's National Hospital's 35th Annual Pediatric Neurology Update. We anticipate 350 attendees from various disciplines around the country. This year's course highlights three areas, each critical for care of children with neurological disorders, and draws upon expertise of our faculty and invited speakers: A. Updates in Epilepsy, B. Innovations in Vascular Neurosurgery and Neurointerventional Radiology, and C. Addressing Mental and Behavioral Health in Neurological Conditions.

The goal of this activity is to review and update on topics and skills frequently used by the transport team. This information includes head trauma guidelines, ingestion guidelines and Sepsis guidelines in the care of patients, to include medications, toxidromes, and respiratory management. It will also include simulation using the knowledge and skills obtained in the class. This will also cover use of equipment and techniques needed in clinical care of patients with head trauma, ingestion or sepsis.

Program DescriptionThe goal of this activity is to equip participants with the skills to care for patients and families who are in end of life. Participants will gain insight from the families experiences and interaction with staff during their child's end of life process. The Panel provides an opportunity to honor the children who have passed by allowing parents to tell their story and share memories. Additionally, it will allow participants an opportunity to focus on improvements we can make as a healthcare system.
