Children’s National Hospital 35th Annual Pediatric Neurology Update: Innovating for Cures and Care
Overview
This is Children's National Hospital's 35th Annual Pediatric Neurology Update. We anticipate 350 attendees from various disciplines around the country. This year's course highlights three areas, each critical for care of children with neurological disorders, and draws upon expertise of our faculty and invited speakers: A. Updates in Epilepsy, B. Innovations in Vascular Neurosurgery and Neurointerventional Radiology, and C. Addressing Mental and Behavioral Health in Neurological Conditions. We aim to discuss advancements in epilepsy research and treatment, foster skill development and interdisciplinary understanding of neurovascular interventions, promote awareness and competency in integrating mental and behavioral health in neurologic care, and enhance training in multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practices.

Learning Objectives
Learning Objective 1: Explore advancements in epilepsy research, diagnosis, and treatment, including big data applications, new drug development, and evolving management strategies.
Learning Objective 2: Examine innovations in vascular neurosurgery and neurointerventional radiology, focusing on neurovascular interventions, stroke care, and Moya Moya disease.
Learning Objective 3: Assess the integration of mental and behavioral health in neurologic care, addressing sleep disorders, concussion recovery, and pediatric neuro-immunologic and neuro-oncologic conditions.
Learning Objective 4: Promote a multidisciplinary approach to neurological care, fostering collaboration across specialties to enhance patient outcomes through research, technology, and evidence-based practices.
