NICU Preceptor Bootcamp (2025)
The goal of this activity is to enhance preceptors' knowledge and skills in effectively teaching new hire nurses in the NICU. Preceptors will learn how to foster critical thinking, improve clinical skills, and promote confidence in new nurses, ultimately leading to better, safer patient care. The target audience needs to improve their ability to communicate, provide constructive feedback, and create a supportive learning environment that encourages growth and competency in new staff.

Learning Objective 1: Identify the roles and responsibilities of the preceptor in the orientation process.
Learning Objective 2: Apply tools for teaching time management, prioritization, and critical thinking to new nurses.
