DOTM Transport Professional Development Skills Days Fall 2025

The goal of this activity is to update the team on best practice guideline and care for patients with high acuity issues. This education will include care of patients with metabolic disorders, advanced care of ventricular dysrhythmias, updates to care of metabolic acidosis, and care and transport of the NICU patient for PICU nurses. There will be simulation of care for a critical metabolic patient.

Learning Objective 1: 

Participants will accurately assess patients with metabolic disorders, metabolic acidosis, and ventricular dysrhythmias

Learning Objective 2: 

Participants will apply knowledge learned in course to care for patient with metabolic disorders, metabolic acidosis, and ventricular dysrhythmias

Learning Objective 3: 

Participants will apply skills learned in care of the neonatal patient population
