I, April Brooks, am a Registered Nurse of 24 years with the past 17 years being in Hematology and Oncology. I am a dedicated Nurse Educator who is committed to advancing patient care, nursing practice, and professional development.  My extensive experience in Hematology/Oncology has provided me with expertise in care for both pediatric and medically complex patients while supporting nurses in delivering safe, evidence-based, compassionate care.  I currently hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus in Nursing Education and is passionate about translating clinical knowledge into meaningful educational experiences.  My professional interest includes nursing education, clinical competency development, Simulation-based learning, oncology nursing, nursing school Clinical Instructor, and mentoring the next generation of nurses. As an experienced oncology nurse and nurse educator, I am committed to bridging the gap between education and clinical practice, empowering nurses with knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to provide exceptional patient care.
