Fidel Kandell is a co-founder and managing Director of OpExecs, formed in 2020 to provide value-added services in operational excellence.  He is a skilled engineer with experience as a project manager and expertise in strategic restructuring programs, including over a dozen Transfers of Work and assembly line start-ups and several New Product Introductions. He works with top-level executives and cross-functional teams across various traditional operational disciplines to plan and deploy effective strategic and tactical plans into effective cost-saving results.

He has over 30 years of a proven track record as a Six Sigma Black Belt and regularly uses Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to implement continuous process improvement projects in industrial environments with process expertise including electro-mechanical manufacturing, foam manufacturing, Oil & Gas, facility operations, project management, sourcing, materials planning, customer service, and restructuring programs.

Fidel enjoys mentoring and has trained and coached over 250 participants in the DMAIC methodology to certification and successfully led several Kaizen events within various industries and functions.  He served as plant manager for six years with General Electric and worked on over 65 CapEx projects to move products and optimize production in factories and warehouses across the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, China, Chile and Brazil. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
