A. Personal Statement
My area of passion lies in utilizing a translational approach to explore cardiac electrophysiology. My academic training has allowed me to work in several interdisciplinary laboratories focused on both experimental and computational approaches. During my academic journey, I was involved in developing cardiac computational EP models, ECG and vectorcardiography analyzing tools, electrocardiographic imaging, and cardiac optical mapping tools.
In my opinion, cardiac electrophysiology (EP) studies conducted on animal or computational models can only be considered valuable if the findings can be translated and correlated with a corresponding clinical study. It's essential to ensure that the results obtained from these models have clinical relevance and can be applied to humans. Therefore, it's crucial to conduct a rigorous analysis of the translational potential of the findings before drawing conclusions. Only by establishing a strong correlation between animal or computational models and human clinical studies can we advance our understanding of cardiac EP and develop effective treatments for patients.
My current goal is to stay in academia and establish myself as an independent and leading scientist in the field of cardiac electrophysiology. I am excited about continuing to contribute to the field of cardiac electrophysiology and working towards making a difference in people's lives.
