Sr. Diana Marie is a member of the Dominican Sisters, Congregation of St. Rose of Lima, commonly known as the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne. Her community was founded by Venerable Rose Hawthorne (Mother Mary Alphonsa, OP) and has provided free end-of-life care to the poor with incurable cancer since 1900. They live out the Dominican charism by providing the best possible nursing care in order to uphold the dignity of life and work for the salvation of souls. All of the care they provide is free. They do not accept funds from the patients, their families, private insurance or government agencies. They live their religious life and serve in this apostolate in their two homes - Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, New York and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home in Atlanta, Georgia. Sister Diana Marie earned a Master's degree in American History from George Washington University before converting to Catholicism in 2010 and entering her community in October of 2013. She has done hands-on patient care as a certified nursing assistant for the last 12 years and currently serves her community as Vocation Director and Assistant Administrator while also studying to become a licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
