Anatomy Lab 11/19/2025
This training will ensure all staff are proficient in trauma care, equipment use, and critical decision-making in both trauma and transport environments. Participants will gain skills for safe operations in critical care flight settings, effective communication, and patient triage. Additionally, staff will be trained to manage advanced or difficult airways, including alternatives to intubation, ensuring readiness for high-pressure situations.
Learning Objectives
Learning Objective 1: Assess airway and lung anatomy, arterial, venous, and bone anatomy. Participants will independently assess anatomy, landmarks, and anomalies is relation to need for medical procedures.
Learning Objective 2: Analyze need for advanced procedure including ETT or LMA insertion, EZIO placement, needle decompression and proper technique on human anatomy. Participants will identify the need for advanced procedure and identify the anatomical locations and technique to using equipment.
Learning Objective 3: Apply skills to demonstrate the correct procedure following the DOTM protocol performing EZIO insertion, Needle Decompression Thoracostomy, LMA insertion, Direct Laryngoscopy, CMAC-PM, on cadavers provided to participants. Participants will return demonstration of procedures on cadaver in lab, showing correct technique to show competency in clinical setting.
