Learning Objectives
After this session, learners will be able to:
- Highlight data showing that the prenatal diagnosis of CHD improves outcome
- Review the transitional circulation and discuss why this is important for the newborn with CHD
- Review fetal echo findings that enable prediction of increased risk for hemodynamic compromise at delivery for newborns with specific CHD
- Discuss delivery management strategies for high risk neonates with CHD and how neonatologists and cardiologists can effectively collaborate in the prenatal period
