After this session, learners will be able to: 

  1. Highlight data showing that the prenatal diagnosis of CHD improves outcome
  2. Review the transitional circulation and discuss why this is important for the newborn with CHD
  3. Review fetal echo findings that enable prediction of increased risk for hemodynamic compromise at delivery for newborns with specific CHD
  4. Discuss delivery management strategies for high risk neonates with CHD and how neonatologists and cardiologists can effectively collaborate in the prenatal period
