- Recognize what High-Consequence Infectious Diseases (HCIDs) are and why they matter in emergency medicine
- Review the U.S. HCID response system and how patients are identified and managed
- Learn about the CHiRP Team and Children’s National’s role as a pediatric RESPTC
- Review basic principles of PPE use for HCID, including pediatric-specific considerations
