Tress Goodwin, MD
Tress Goodwin, MD serves as the Pediatric Medical Director for the Regional Emerging Pathogens Treatment Center at Children’s National Hospital, in partnership with Medstar Washington Hospital Center. Following residency training in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Goodwin was commissioned into the US Navy Medical Corp where she served for 5 years including a combat deployment to Afghanistan in 2015. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she served as the Assistant Incident Commander for the Emergency Department at Children’s National. In addition to working both pediatric and adult ED shifts, Dr. Goodwin serves on the Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN) and Assistant Medical Director for Emergency Preparedness at Children’s National Hospital. She also serves as a co-chair of the NETEC/PPN Joint Pediatric Special Pathogens workgroup.
