ForwardHuman Research Boot Camp 2026
After attending the Human Research Boot Camp, learners will have a greater understanding of Federal regulations (HHS, FDA, and OCR/HIPAA Privacy Rule) pertaining to human subject protections and relevant Children’s National Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) policies and procedures. Learners will be able to apply this knowledge to design and conduct research that is scientifically valid, ethical, and compliant with the regulations and CN standards.

Learning Objectives
- Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to identify ways that HHS, FDA, and HIPAA Privacy Rule federal regulations apply to the design and conduct of human research.
- Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to discuss CN Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) policies and procedures pertaining to research protocols, use and disclosure of PHI, informed consent, and reportable events.
- Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to apply and implement study designs and methods that comply with regulatory and IRB requirements and best practices for the ethical conduct of research.
