CICU Fall 2026 Nurse BootCamp

This educational activity is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and confidence of experienced pediatric CICU nurses in managing complex clinical and leadership situations that are frequently encountered in practice but may not be addressed through formal training. Topics include death and dying, electrophysiology, mobilization of complex patients, and communication as a nurse leader. Through focused education and discussion, participants will strengthen their clinical expertise, leadership abilities, and communication skills to support safe, high-quality patient care.

  1. Apply strategies for safe movement on highly complex patients to improve mobilization.
  2. Assess gaps or challenges in interdisciplinary communication and guide junior team member to improve communication patterns.
  3. Create a resource for bedside nurse on death and dying to improve patient care delivery.
  4. Interpret ECG findings and apply knowledge to intervention recommendations.
