Acupressure for Pediatric Symptom Management 2026
Course Description
The goal of this activity is to introduce nurses to foundational, evidence-informed acupressure techniques that can be safely integrated into pediatric care to support symptom management. Medical teams frequently encounter symptoms such as pain, nausea, anxiety, and sleep disruption, yet often have limited non-pharmacologic tools they can use in real time. Participants will learn a focused set of high-yield acupressure points and techniques for common symptoms, along with guidance on safe application and appropriate use in pediatric patients. Emphasis will be placed on hands-on practice and practical integration into existing clinical workflows. By the end of the activity, participants will be able to apply a small number of techniques with confidence
