Journal Club Objectives

• Identify the nurse’s role in providing gender-affirming care for genderqueer and transgender patients
• Review how gender affirming care progresses from childhood through adolescence
• Provide guidance and recommendations for front line nursing staff to provide inclusive and equitable care for transgender youth, as well as assist staff in identifying ways to foster confidence, act as advocates and promote overall health among transgender youth
