Erin Sadler, PsyD

Erin M. Sadler, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist in the Division of Psychology and Behavioral Health and a Clinical Associate Professor of pediatrics at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Sadler serves as Co-Director of the outpatient Mood and Trauma Disorders Program at Children’s National where she specializes in treating depression, trauma and anxiety disorders using evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, dialectical behavior therapy for adolescents (DBT-A) and child-parent psychotherapy. Dr. Sadler has a special interest in addressing adverse childhood experiences while promoting resilience and positive childhood experiences for youth from birth through adolescence. Dr. Sadler leads trauma services in the Early Childhood Behavioral Health Program and developed the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Postpartum Support Program to help parents in the NICU at Children’s National who are experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Sadler works with families to reduce depression and PTSD symptoms, build emotion regulation and coping strategies, and develop effective problem-solving skills. She is dedicated to providing equitable care and engaging our communities to address health disparities. Lastly, Dr. Sadler is actively involved in the training of future psychologists withing her programs.
