Series Description
Enhance healthcare providers' knowledge and skills in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions in children and adolescents. The target audience, including primary care physicians and integrated behavioral health providers (psychologists and licensed clinical social workers), must stay updated on new treatments, apply knowledge to complex cases, and address safety concerns. The activity aims to close practice gaps through didactic presentations, case-based discussions, and problem-based learning. We hope to increase the capacity for primary care pediatricians to care for patients with mental health concerns in the pediatric primary care office. Webinars will present consensus best practice guidelines for the management of mental health conditions in pediatric primary care. Content will focus on evidence-based tools for screening, diagnosis, and management of mental health conditions. The role of in-office interventions including Common Elements therapy tools and psychopharmacology will be highlighted.
