Leandra Godoy, PhD
Leandra Godoy, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in early childhood mental health. She is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Children’s National Hospital and the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Godoy is co-director of the Early Childhood Behavioral Health Program within the Division of Psychology and Behavioral Health.
She serves as a program manager within the Community Mental Health CORE (Collaboration-Outreach-Research-Equity) team, where she oversees community mental health-primary care integration and autism activities. She also serves as manager for the D.C. Collaborative for Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care and she leads the DC Autism Collaborative, both city-wide initiatives aimed at improving behavioral health in the District of Columbia.
Dr. Godoy graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in child development. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston after completing her pre-doctoral internship in child clinical psychology at Brown University and a post-doctoral fellowship at Children's National. Dr. Godoy’s clinical and research interests include early childhood mental health, mental health integration in pediatric primary care and health equity.
