Trauma Core is designed to provide newly graduated nurses and team members new to pediatric trauma care with foundational knowledge and skills essential for caring for pediatric trauma and burn patients. Intended for staff within their first year at Children's National, this program introduces key principles of trauma assessment, stabilization, burn management, and interdisciplinary care. Through evidence-based education and clinical application, participants will build the knowledge, confidence, and critical thinking skills necessary to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to pediatric trauma patients.
