Fall CICU Skills Day 10.07.2026

This activity will provide nurses with hands-on learning and simulation experiences focused on high-acuity pediatric cardiac care. Participants will strengthen their knowledge and skills related to cardiac arrest team roles and documentation, engage in multidisciplinary ECPR simulations, and explore neurodevelopmental considerations for pediatric cardiac patients to support safe, evidence-based practice.

Learning Objectives

  1. Nurses will apply evidence-based resuscitation principles during a simulated patient decompensation leading to cardiac arrest and collaborate interprofessionally to support ECPR/ECMO deployment.
  2. Nurses will apply a neurodevelopmental framework to their patient care
  3. Nurses will analyze the different code roles and apply them to simulated patient scenarios correctly
