Terry Kind, Professor of Pediatrics; Associate Dean for MD Education

Terry Kind, MD, MPH, is a primary care pediatrician at Children's National at Anacostia in Washington, D.C. At The George Washington University she serves as the Associate Dean for MD Education and the Frank N Miller Distinguished Teacher Professor. Kind is a graduate of GW's Master Teacher Leadership Development Program and an inaugural member of the Children's Academy of Pediatric Educators. Her research and professional interests include medical education, narrative medicine, qualitative research, and equity. She enjoys helping others tell their stories as the editor of "In The Moment" for the journal Academic Pediatrics. As an inaugural inductee into the National Academy of Distinguished Educators in Pediatrics she has worked on programs to help others THRIVE. Dr Kind was a Qualitative Research special interest group national co-chair for the Academic Pediatric Association and has served on COMSEP's national executive committee. Her aim is to help facilitate the growth and development of patients, learners, and colleagues.
