Dr. Diana Karczmarczyk holds a PhD in Education with a specialization in International Education and a minor in Public Health from George Mason University. She earned her Master of Public Health in Community Health Education from UNC Greensboro and is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES). In addition, she holds a Project Management (PMP) certification. 

Dr. Karczmarczyk serves as Director of Team Member Wellbeing at Children's National Hospital and brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education, health education, and health promotion. She is also an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University and The George Washington University.

Prior to joining Children's National, Dr. Karczmarczyk was the inaugural Director of Employee Well-Being Support for the DC Metropolitan Police Department. Her previous roles include leading educational content development at RAINN, serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Global and Community Health at George Mason University, advancing health policy work at ASTHO, and directing national initiatives at the American Diabetes Association focused on Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and women's health.

Throughout her career, she has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate health education courses, including health behavior theory, program planning and evaluation, community health, social determinants of health, and human sexuality. She currently serves on the steering committee for the Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria and is a former Commissioner for the Alexandria Commission for Women.

Dr. Karczmarczyk is co-editor of Men's Health: An Introduction, co-author of Health Education and Promotion: A Skills-Based Approach, and co-author of two children's books promoting positive mental health.
