Rochelle A. Smith, DNP, RN, NE-BC, is a nursing operations leader with more than 23 years of progressive clinical and management experience across acute care, ambulatory services, pediatric critical care, telehealth nursing, and virtual care operations. She currently leads high-volume primary care telehealth nursing operations at Children’s National Hospital, supporting clinical triage, patient access, workforce planning, quality oversight, staff development, and care coordination for approximately 200–250 patient calls each day.

Rochelle is known for her thoughtful, data-driven, and people-centered leadership style, with a strong commitment to improving access to compassionate, high-quality care while supporting the nurses and teams who deliver it. Her professional involvement includes serving as a Conway Nursing Pathway Program mentor and being a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, with a focus on Health Systems Leadership and Management, and she is Nurse Executive Board Certified.
