Elizabeth Moynihan, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC
Beth Moynihan, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner and the advanced practice provider team lead for cardiology at Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. Beth earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland. She has spent the last 11 years working as a nurse practitioner in the heart center at Children’s National. Her clinical interests include: the challenges of feeding patients with congenital heart disease, improving the discharge process for parents and families, and mentorship of advanced practice providers. Beth was promoted to APP team lead in 2021 and is now responsible for the leadership and mentorship of several APPs within the heart center. In this role, Beth has fostered continuing education and professional development opportunities including leading a heart center APP retreat. She supervises heart center APP onboarding, orientation and competencies. She also was a member of the APP workgroup that launched a new hospital wide mentorship program which began in February 2024. Beth lives in Northern VA with her husband and two daughters.
