As Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, Nicole Travers supports the DC Charter School Alliance’s advocacy and school support efforts, leading initiatives that help funnel critical resources to public charter schools across the District of Columbia. She also cultivates cross-sector and agency partnerships that expand opportunities and strengthen support systems for students, families, and school communities. Nicole is deeply committed to building equitable systems that ensure all students have access to high-quality educational experiences and support.

Nicole joined the DC Charter School Alliance in 2023, bringing more than 16 years of experience in the DC public charter school sector. Prior to joining the Alliance, she held a variety of leadership roles at a Ward 7 public charter school, including teacher, principal, and senior-level positions.

Nicole earned her bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University and completed a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship in France. She also holds graduate degrees from American University and Trinity Washington University. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys traveling, writing poetry, roller skating, and spending time with her daughter.
