Anne Marie Kuchera, MS, MA, RD, LPC
Ms. Kuchera’s career has focused on the application of evidence-based methods to understand and elicit positive change in individuals, families, communities, and organizational systems in support of health equity and wellbeing.
Anne Marie serves as the Director of Community Health for UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where her responsibilities include identifying health needs of the community and integrating services between community-based and hospital systems that address these needs, with particular attention to the social, behavioral, and environmental factors that influence health. Her clinical background as a licensed counselor and registered dietitian includes work in behavioral health, pediatric obesity treatment, and training and education for healthcare professionals. She served on advisory boards for the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Pediatric Obesity Prevention and Treatment Collaborative, and Food Security. Anne Marie has been an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh for nearly 20 years and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers. She holds degrees in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition, Counseling Psychology, and Organizational and Community Psychology.
An avid community volunteer, Anne Marie has served on Boards of Directors for the urban agriculture nonprofit, Grow Pittsburgh, and the nation’s largest independent and freestanding birth center, the Midwife Center for Birth and Women’s Health. She’s currently the “momager” for Pittsburgh Allderdice's Cross Country team.
