Patty Dillhoff, MAT

Patty Dillhoff is the Director in the Center for School Services at Cincinnati Children’s, where she has served since 2007. With nearly two decades of experience in hospital-based education and care coordination, Patty has dedicated her career to improving outcomes for children and adolescents navigating complex medical conditions.
Prior to her current role, Patty served as a manager and provided liaison support for patients with hematologic, immunologic, and oncologic diseases, working closely with families, schools, and clinical teams to ensure continuity of education and support. As Director, she oversees the operations and coordination within the Center for School Services and Cincinnati Children’s Coordinated School Strategy, leading efforts to strengthen the intersection of healthcare and education to better serve patients and their families.
Patty is widely recognized for her ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, foster meaningful partnerships, and drive programmatic excellence. Her leadership emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, with a strong commitment to advancing whole-child well-being.
In addition to her work at Cincinnati Children’s, Patty has been an active and influential leader in the Hospital Educator and Academic Liaison (HEAL) Association (formerly APHOES/AECMN) since 2009. She co-chaired the 2011 National Conference in Cincinnati and continues to serve as co-chair of the HEAL Conference Planning Committee. Her leadership contributions also include roles on the Executive Board as Member-at-Large, Marketing and Communications Officer, and President, completing her term in 2022. Her sustained involvement reflects her deep commitment to advancing the field and improving outcomes for patients through professional collaboration and innovation.
Patty is also actively engaged in advancing the development of School-Friendly Health Systems, supporting efforts to create more integrated, responsive systems that meet the academic and health needs of children.
