Mark Fucanan, BSN, RN, has been a Hematology and Oncology Nurse with more than 10 years experience. He achieved a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University College of Nursing, embodying the university motto of "Producing Productive People."  Mark is currently the Clinical Development Specialist and Clinical Ethics Resource Nurse at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center on G17 Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Unit, where he mentors trainees, supports clinical staff, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, maintains unit institutional competencies, and provides education to hematology new hire nurses. Mark is a servant leader and safety champion who implements high reliability tools to support communication, advocate for patient and family, provide holistic care, and navigate nursing ethics.
