Christopher Sarkis, MD, MPH, FAAP

Dr. Christopher Sarkis is a Clinical Pediatrician in the Emergency Department at Children's National Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics with The George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He received his undergraduate degree in History from the University of Notre Dame and his Medical Degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. Dr. Sarkis completed residency at Akron Children's Hospital in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, where he also served as Chief Resident during the early days of the COVID-19 Pandemic from 2020-2021. During this time, he also completed a fellowship in Academic Medicine through the Northeast Ohio Medical University, which culminated in the development of a curriculum teaching resident physicians to confidently address vaccine hesitancy in the office setting.
Dr. Sarkis began his post-residency career with a brief stint in the Emergency Department at Akron Children's Hospital before moving to the DMV and taking a position in the Emergency Department at Children's National in 2022. Since, he has obtained his Master of Public Health from The Ohio State University and continues his education work through development of an ongoing educational series for the Fast Track clinicians at Children's National.
