Dr. Isbey is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at George Washington University and Attending Physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine at Children’s National Hospital. She is medical director of emergency department quality and safety. Her research focuses on quality and safety of care in the emergency department, and she is the lead of a hospital-wide initiative to decrease ED left without being seen rates. She also created and implemented a callback program to contact all high-risk patients who leave without being seen. All of her work, including her patient portal enrollment project, is dedicated to improving safe care for all patients in the ED.
