Series Description
Radiology staff, including nurses, need to develop & maintain skills and knowledge necessary to provide compassionate, safe, patient-centered care during medical imaging procedures. At the end of each learning activity, nurses will be able to apply their new knowledge and skills to enhance their assessment management, safe practices and care and escalation of care throughout the radiologic procedure, thus increasing their ability to provide excellent patient care.
At times, the learning will be as a journal club for radiology nurses to discuss the latest research and developments in healthcare as it relates to radiology nursing care. This allows RNs to stay up to date on evidence-based practice, treatment protocols, and trends in healthcare. This is done by members who select relevant journal articles and present the information to the group, encouraging group discussion and application to Children's National's processes.
