Kitman Wai, MD
Dr. Kitman Wai completed her pediatric residency and pediatric critical care training at Children’s National in 2008 and 2011, respectively. After completing her training, she was appointed to her first faculty appointment at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the University of Arizona College of Medicine. During her time in Phoenix, she was involved with numerous educational efforts of training of house staff including building the core curriculum for critical care fellows and serving on the residency curriculum committee. She rose to Program Director for Pediatric Critical Care at Phoenix Children’s in 2016 and remained in that position until she was recruited to Children’s National in 2018. Upon arriving to our Division, she has served as Associate Program Director from 2018 - 2023, and is currently the program director for the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program starting July 2023. She was a graduate of the Master Teacher Leadership Development Program of Cohort 21 in 2023.
