Katie Schafer, DO is a part owner of an independent pediatric practice in Metro Detroit, Bloom Pediatrics, which employs 12 physicians and 13 nurse practitioners with over 110 employees! She also serves as Mayor Pro Tem in her small surburban community.  Katie is married to Scott and has two boys, Oliver, 9 and Elliot, 7.  Katie is passionate about keeping independent pediatric practice viable amid the changing landscape of healthcare.  Katie is a lover of all things that sparkle and is known to bring a balloon anywhere, any time.
