Olivia Miller, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Olivia Miller is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a member of the ABC Team. Previously, she worked at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she supported patients presenting significant safety risks and requiring restraint interventions to ensure staff and patient safety.
Her clinical experience spans supporting patients, families, and hospital staff across various settings, including inpatient units, ambulatory clinics, and emergency departments. Olivia prioritizes behavior support as an initial response before implementing more permanent medical interventions. She has substantial expertise in facilitating adherence to medical treatments such as sleep protocols, ostomy care, feeding, tracheotomy care, and CPAP tolerance.
At Children’s National Hospital (CNH), Olivia focuses on improving care for patients and families facing behavioral health challenges. She collaborates with staff to assess safety risks and develops training programs to reduce restraint use and prevent staff injuries. Her research interests include health equity and access for individuals with complex needs, behavioral systems within healthcare, and strategies to reduce severe behaviors and restraint use in medical settings. Olivia is committed to culturally responsive training to enhance patient care and improve healthcare service delivery.
