Social Work Manager with 35 years of clinical social work experience in healthcare.  I have provided direct social work interventions with patients and families in ambulatory settings and pediatric critical care units.  I have strong skills in family engagement, crisis intervention, de-escalation, acute grief support, and social work supervision.  Throughout my career I have provided formal and informal interdisciplinary education about family dynamics, communication skills and strategies to engage with patients and families.  I have a strong interest in organ donation and transplantation.  I am an inaugural member of the Children's National Organ Donation Council.  I am a member of the Society for Social Work Leadership in Healthcare and have served in a variety of leadership roles in that organization.
