Lisa Williams-Greeley, MSN-Ed, RN, CPN, CNRN is an experienced clinical nurse and educator- who has recently transitioned into the role of the Patient and Family Education Manager. Lisa has been a nurse at Children’s National for >24yrs. Her clinical experience spans across acute and critical care departments. Lisa is rooted in understanding the fundamental theories of adult learning principles while recently completing training in plain language writing to support our patients and families. Lisa’s formal training includes education as a masters prepared RN specialized in nursing education, which deepens her ability to support our teams in creating impactful resources for our staff and families. She’s involved in many system level councils and committees such as Ed Congress, Professional Development Council and Nursing Pharmacy just to name a few. Lisa is also committed to community engagement events such as participating in the Race for Every Child, supporting the annual epilepsy walk, and leading the Neuroscience Patient Education and Advocacy group on the Neuroscience Care Unit.
