Shreya Doshi, MD
Shreya Doshi, is a third-year Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellow at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C., is dedicated to advancing healthcare sustainability, diagnostic stewardship, and global health. While completing her fellowship, she is also pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Global and Environmental Health at George Washington University.
As the founder of Sustainabil-ID, Shreya leads a research collaborative aimed at integrating environmental sustainability into the practices of infectious diseases. She serves as the co-editor of a supplement for the Journal of Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society and Open Forum Infectious Diseases, titled "Sustainability through the Infectious Diseases Lens," which features six publications focused on modifying daily infectious disease practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from healthcare delivery.
Her Quality Improvement (QI) project aims to minimize antimicrobial waste generated at CNH aligning with her vision for a more sustainable future in healthcare. In her upcoming talk, Shreya will talk about climate change and infectious diseases from a global health and equity perspective as well as healthcare sustainability.
