Alix Fetch, PhD, CCRP is the Clinical Research Program Manager for the Heart and Lung Center and Heart Research Institute at Children's National Hospital. She obtained her BA in Linguistics from the University of Michigan and her PhD in Linguistics with a Concentration in Interdisciplinary Cognitive Science. Her PhD education and dissertation work focused on how children learn languages and patterns, with specialized training in experimental psychology, theoretical linguistic syntax, and cognitive neuroscience. At Children's National she is responsible for the overall management and strategic planning for the Heart & Lung Center and Heart Research Institute. Her work is largely focused on ensuring clinical research compliance, extramural funding applications, research education, and contributing to research on surgical outcomes and neuropsychological impacts of Congenital Heart Disease.
