CICU 2025 RN Skills 10/22/25
Annual Professional Development opportunity for CICU RNs. This year's sessions will focus on Moral Distress, Neurodevelopment of the Neonate, and a simulation event for patient decompensation including ECPR.
Target Audience
Nurses
Learning Objectives
1. Nurses will explore the moral implications and ethical considerations in complex clinical scenarios in pediatric critical care.
2. Nurses will learn and demonstrate the ability to properly position neonates and infants in order to support their neurodevelopmental growth.
3. Nurses will simulate a patient decompensating to the point of cardiac arrest and collaborate interprofessionally to perform an ECPR ECMO deployment. They will identify common risk factors for cardiac arrest, prepare the patient room with all necessary equipment, perform CPR when necessary, and facilitate an ECMO deployment.
